In this position, you will work less hours, have no pressure to sell, and will have a dynamic team to work with.
Lumen CPA, Inc. is a full-service accounting firm located in Brecksville, Ohio serving clients wherever they may be. We combine smart technology, smart people, and smart processes with shared knowledge to help clients achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Tax Planning & Compliance: Develop and implement tax strategies and prepare tax projections. Prepare and review business, individual, and trust tax returns. Stay ahead of tax regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Accounting Excellence: Oversee client accounting services, functioning as an outsourced controller. Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reports that support business decision-making.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements. Prepare budgets and forecasts. Perform compilation and review engagements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting and tax functions. Leverage technology and best practices to drive operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- License: CPA required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 -7 years’ experience in public accounting. Supervision experience required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
- Technology: Proficient in multiple software applications such as Microsoft 365, UltraTax, RIA Checkpoint, QuickBooks Online, ShareFile, etc.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, with a strategic mindset. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
