Tax & Accounting Associate

We are searching for a Tax & Accounting Associate to serve our growing family of clients. Do you have 1-3 years of accounting and/or tax experience? Lumen CPA, Inc. is a full-service accounting firm located in Brecksville, Ohio serving clients wherever they may be. We combine smart technology, smart people, and smart processes with shared knowledge to help clients achieve their goals.

The Ideal Candidate:

Has 1-3 years of accounting and/or tax experience, preferably in public accounting
Is detail oriented, organized, and tech-savvy (our tech stack consists of Microsoft 365, UltraTax, RIA Checkpoint, QuickBooks Online, ShareFile, and numerous other applications)
Enjoys creating new solutions, improving processes, and driving projects to completion
Is an excellent communicator who works well with clients, colleagues, and other professionals
Embraces continuous learning, new technologies, and new challenges

Responsibilities:

Prepare business, individual, and trust tax returns
Tax research, planning, and projections
Provide accounting services for clients including day-to-day processes, period-end closes, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and analysis
Accounting system implementations and integrations (QuickBooks Online and third-party apps)

Other Information:

The ability to juggle many projects is important in this role.
We work with closely-held businesses and their owners serving as their most trusted advisors. While we provide high quality tax and accounting services, our clients most value our "hands-on" personal approach. The ideal candidate "gets" this and embraces it as the way to do business.
