Controller / Client Accounting Services Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Accounting & Finance: Oversee client accounting services, functioning as an outsourced controller. You will be responsible for designing and managing financial processes, performing month-end closes, financial statement preparation, payroll processing oversight, employee benefits coordination, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, identifying and implementing cost savings opportunities, developing and monitoring key performance indicators, and, providing financial insights to support business strategy.  
• Strategic Tax Planning & Compliance: Work with our tax team to develop and implement tax strategies, prepare tax projections and forecasts, and monitor compliance with multi-state sales and income tax filing requirements.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team. Work with operations, sales, and marketing team members to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications:

• License: CPA preferred but not required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 -7 years’ experience ideally in both industry and public accounting. Supervision experience required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
• Technology: Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft 365 and embrace learning, implementing, and using multiple software applications to maximize efficiency and accuracy.  
• Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Exceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, with a strategic mindset. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
